Association of Paging Carriers (AAPC) Announce Affiliation
Enterprise Wireless Alliance (EWA) announces an affiliation agreement with the American Association of Paging Carriers (AAPC) granting full EWA membership to AAPC members and mutually promoting wireless regulatory advocacy, educational and associated services. The annual AAPC membership meeting will be held during the Enterprise Wireless conference starting in 2008. AAPC President Scott Forsythe from SelectPath, Englewood, Colorado, has been appointed to serve as a voting member on the EWA Board, and EWA President/CEO Mark E. Crosby, will serve as a voting member on the AAPC Board. The two associations will remain autonomous national trade associations.
In announcing the agreement, Mark E. Crosby remarked “We’re very pleased to welcome the AAPC members to EWA. AAPC members are leaders in the wireless industry and on the forefront of many emerging technologies. We see enormous opportunities for both AAPC and EWA as a result of this affiliation.” Scott Forsythe commented that “There will be enormous benefit to the AAPC members in terms of being on the vanguard of regulatory advocacy through higher levels of involvement in EWA as members.”
The American Association of Paging Carriers (AAPC) is the major national association dedicated to representing and advancing the paging industry. AAPC members are primarily paging companies and vendors, most of which are regional carriers and large, national geographic paging service carriers. AAPC welcomes anyone involved in the paging industry to join and provide a united front to promote the paging industry.
EWA is an FCC-certified frequency advisory committee serving enterprise, technology providers and communications service organizations with licensing, spectrum management and consulting services. Membership in the association is open to all users of wireless communications systems, manufacturers, system operators and communication service providers. EWA produces a newsletter, regulatory updates, a magazine – Enterprise Wireless™, and an annual trade show with a technology showcase for new wireless products and business operations sessions. The 2007 show is October 25-26 in San Antonio, Texas.
