800 MHz Rebanding Wave 4 Update
Per Public Notice DA 06-2605, released December 27, 2006, the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (PSHSB) extended the mandatory negotiation period by 90 days for Stage 1 border-area non-NPSPAC licensees in Wave 4 from January 2, 2007 to April 2, 2007. The beginning of the mediation period for these licenses has also been postponed until April 3, 2007. This extension does not apply to Wave 4 Stage 1 licensees outside the border areas. These changes are a result of ongoing international discussions regarding the U.S./Canada and U.S./Mexico border issues.
