FCC Regulatory Fee Increase

As per FCC Report & Order 06-102, the FCC will be making changes to their regulatory fees which will become effective as of September 1st.

Licensees on shared Part 90 frequencies below 470 MHz will now pay a $10.00 per year regulatory fee for new and renewal applications. This $10.00 per year times a 10-year license term equals a $100.00 regulatory fee.

Licensees on exclusive Part 90 frequencies in the 470, 800 and 900 MHz bands will now pay a $20.00 per year regulatory fee for new and renewal applications. $20.00 per year times a 10-year license term equals a $200 regulatory fee.

In addition to, yet separate from the required regulatory fee, there is also a $55 application fee per license. This FCC fee is charged on new, renewal, modification, assignment and STA applications in all frequency bands both above and below 470 MHz.

New & renewal applications below 470 MHZ: $100 + $55 =
$155.00 total FCC license fee
Modification, assignment & STA applications: $55.00 FCC application fee only

New & renewal applications above 470 MHz: $200 + $55 =
$255.00 total FCC license fee
Modification, assignment & STA applications: $55.00 FCC application fee only

CMRS & tax exempt licensees = $55.00 FCC application fee only (tax exempt applicants must provide a copy of their IRS 501C letter.)

Governmental Entities are exempt from all FCC fees.
